Sevilla FC has officially announced the contract extension of Juanlu Sánchez, a player represented by AS1, who will remain with the club until June 30, 2029. The Sevillian full-back has signed a three-year extension, reflecting the mutual trust between player and club.
Born in Montequinto and raised through Sevilla’s youth academy, Juanlu made his debut for Sevilla Atlético at just 16 years old. He later joined the first-team setup during the club’s historic sixth Europa League title run in 2020. Since then, his progression has been steady and impressive.
A key moment in his development came during his loan spell at CD Mirandés in the 2022/23 season, where he played 38 matches, scored two goals, and registered five assists. Since returning to Nervión, Juanlu has become an important figure in the first team, with 66 official appearances, six goals, and seven assists to his name.
On the international stage, Juanlu has also made his mark. He has been called up five times to Spain’s U21 squad and was a standout performer at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he scored a decisive goal against Morocco to help secure the gold medal. A symbol of growth, commitment, and Sevilla pride, Juanlu’s journey continues at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
